On December 12, 2018, DRK gem. Krankenhausgesellschaft Thüringen Brandenburg mbH filed for insolvency under its own administration. Today, the local court in Mühlhausen ordered the provisional self-administration under the previous management. Dr. Rainer Eckert was appointed provisional administrator.

"Kurt Beier" boss makes first statement and announces further improvements

Esbjerg, 5 December 2018. At the beginning of November, German customs examined the working conditions of Philippine truck drivers of the Polish haulage company HBT int. Transporte Sp.Zo.o., which belongs to the Danish logistics service provider Kurt Beier Transport A/S. The focus of the investigations was whether the drivers received the minimum wage. Since then, the truckers have remained on a company premises in Ense (NRW). The discussion about the further employment opportunities for the drivers now determines the daily events.

Insolvency proceedings of e:veen Energie eG opened - investor process underway

Almost three months after e:veen Energie eG filed for bankruptcy, the Amtsgericht Hanover opened insolvency proceedings against the assets of e:veen Energie eG by order of 1 October 2018. The court appointed Prof. Dr. Volker Römermann as insolvency administrator. e:veen had filed the application in July, partly due to the sharp rise in energy prices.

Data leak: Internet platform "Knuddels" apologizes to members after hacker attack

Karlsruhe, September 8, 2018: 19 years after its founding, the Internet platform Knuddels.de has become the first victim of a successful hacker attack. In recent days, around 808,000 email addresses and 1,872,000 pseudonyms (so-called nicknames) and passwords have been published on the file-sharing site "mega.nz". Important: Only 320,000 email addresses were verified. The others are probably invalid fantasy email addresses.

Change at the head of Oldenburgische Landesbank AG

Patrick Tessmann has asked the Supervisory Board of Oldenburgische Landesbank AG (OLB) to release him from his Management Board mandate with effect from 31 August 2018. Patrick Tessmann, Chairman of the Management Board of OLB since 1 January 2015, led the successful realignment of the Bank. With the "OLB 2019" growth programme, he put OLB on a sustainable, profitable growth path and guided the company safely through the sales process.

The District Court of Hanover today ordered the provisional insolvency administration of e:veen Energie eG. Previously, the company's board of directors, Dieter Carstens, had withdrawn the application for self-administration. Thai investors demand millions after a verdict by the German Federal Court of Justice (BGH)

prohibiting new customer business of Alpha Insurance A/S

The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanstilsynet) prohibited Alpha Insurance A/S of Denmark from writing new business and extending existing contracts by order of 4 March 2018. This was in response to Alpha Insurance's largest reinsurer, CBL Insurance Limited, withdrawing its "A-"rating and initiating preliminary insolvency proceedings. The ban on Danish insurance supervision also applies to business in Germany for which the Danish insurer is registered for trade in services.

LOSYCO SUCCESSFULLY DEFENDS A COMPETITOR'S PATENT ATTACK AGAINST THE LOXRAIL RAIL CONSTRUCTION

Bielefeld - In a judgment pronounced on March 8, 2018 (Case No. 4c O 8/17), the 4c. Civil Chamber of the Düsseldorf Regional Court clarified that the new design principle of LOXrail by the intralogistics specialist LOSYCO does not infringe the German part of a competitor's patent suit. Since an appeal can be lodged against this judgment, it is not yet legally binding. However, LOSYCO is confident that it will also be successful in other instances and has also filed an opposition against the grant of the competitor's patent in order to obtain the invalidity of the patent in all countries in which it is still valid.
